Summary of Proposal
The goal of this proposal is for the DAO to be represented at 2023 Devconnect week in Istanbul. This proposal is ment to cover travel expenses connected with it’s representation.

Proposal Details

Devconnect is the only conference besides Devcon that is organized by Ethereum foundation. It is a developer heavy conference, with a heavy focus on the staking ecosystem. It is strategically important for the DAO be seen, represented and communicate the advantages of SSV and growing the ecosystem around the planned public mainnet launch in Q4. From this reason I believe it is very valuable for the DAO to be represented here.

What actions will I take on behalf of DAO

Requested Funding

  1. travel costs 1000 USD
  2. accomodation 2000USD (8*250)
  3. SSV meetup budget 400USD
  4. SSV workshop budget 2000USD

Together 5400USD

I request the funds to be paid either SSV based on the latest price before payment or USDC.

If the DAO deems my activities valuable but cannot meet requested amount, I am also ready to accept lower amount. Some activities may be hindered by this, but I will try to fulfil my plan to the best of my ability with the funding available.

Reasons for DAO to support the proposal

  • Introducing new potential Developers into SSV ecosystem
  • Showcasing SSV to the wider Ethereum Developers
  • Communicating benefits of SSV to companies in staking industry
  • Putting SSV on the map and in the minds of general Developer public

Can you please elaborate this for us
What do you mean by 8 *250 ,How many days is the event
Does the 8 represent the days you will spend for the events ,Please explain what the 8 means

Also what are the items you are requiring for the workshop budget that sum up to $2000

One last thing in as much as I know this is a good proposal
What will be the metrics for measuring the success of this proposal
How many developers will you be able to onboard, and will we have pictures and videos of the events ?

All good questions, let me address one-by-one:

Yes this is ment to cover 8 nights at a place nearby the conference.

Also what are the items you are requiring for the workshop budget that sum up to $2000

This is the cost of a workshop paid to the workshop organizer, the reference amount is based on ETHCC. Indeed if the cost were to be lower, none at all or the workshop would not take place, this money would not be requested.

From workshop there would be a video and a presentation, like from EthCC one.

What will be the metrics for measuring the success of this proposal
How many developers will you be able to onboard, and will we have pictures and videos of the events ?

The metrics of success will be delivering the media content from the workshop + meetup, such as video + presentation + photos.

The best measure of success may be the number of developers onboarded into the ecosystem, although, may be hard to measure. This is what ultimately matters though.

Hello @markoInEther, once again, thank you very much for your relentless efforts for the SSV Network DAO!

I was collecting the necessary information from the DAO, and the DAO is happy to present you with a funding of $1500. This is what’s left in the dMarketing treasury and marks the maximum the DAO can spare on your initiative.

Please provide proof of execution to @SpookyG once the event has passed.

Hey SSV community!

Here is my short summary of the Devconnect.

I had one workshop there at @ETHStaker gathering Launch your own decentralized :rainbow:LSD staking pool

and talk at d1 conference on Insurance in Ethereum Staking Ecosystem.

The videos should be hopefully available soon, here are the presentations:
