Ben's DAO resignation (facilitator, multi-sig, grants committee)

Hello everyone,

After almost four years with the SSV DAO, I have decided to move on. The good news is that I’m not moving very far.

I’m thrilled to tell you that I will support the SSV Foundation as a program manager, focusing on similar activities as in the past but through the SSV Foundation.

This move is in accordance with the DAO’s long-term vision and its relationship with the SSV Foundation. It will allow us to plan long-term and ensure the project’s ongoing success.

Therefore, as of the 15th of November 2025, I’m stepping down from my roles in the DAO, namely as the DAO’s facilitator and coordinator, lead link of the Grants Committee, and individual Multi-sig member.

Here’s the continuation plan I suggest:

As for my role as the DAO’s facilitator and coordinator, which, according to my latest extension proposal, would have ended anyway on the 31st of December, I suggest no direct replacement since the SSV Foundation will offer these services to the DAO. Furthermore, the DAO grew significantly, and the community with its core contributors is well interconnected and aligned.

As for my role as a Multi-sig member, I propose the following: Although this decision is ultimately up to the committee, I suggest that the Master of Coin proposes to the Multi-sig to offer the newly open slot to the SSV Foundation and requests the SSV Foundation to send a named delegate to fill that position. If accepted by the m-sig, I would happily serve the Multi-sig as the Foundation’s delegate and continue my work. If approved, the Master of Coin can initiate key rotation.

Finally, for my role as the lead link of the Grants Committee, the open seat shall be given to any community member who seems capable of filling that role and is recruited through an open call. The Foundation shall offer secretary services to the Grants Committee but not occupy any of the compensated DAO seats in that committee.

As per the DAO’s governance, this announcement serves as the required seven-day notice before a decision is made regarding my replacement. The Committees will soon announce the replacements and their decisions.

Thank you all, and I look forward to working together in this new role.

Ben
