Update on the Future of the Grants Committee

Dear SSV Community,

Given the current market conditions and our commitment to the long-term health of the DAO, we will be temporarily pausing all new grants activity and endeavors in order to conserve funds. As part of this pause, the Grants Committee members have voluntarily stepped back from their roles. This decision is supported by clause 4 of DIP-5, which empowers the committee to “unwind the committee and the Grants Program prior to allocating the full sums at its disposal.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the committee for their dedicated, thoughtful, and hard work. The trust the community placed in them—and in this program—has never been taken for granted.

In the coming weeks, we will publish a proposal outlining the vision and structure for the committee’s future, ensuring that it can return at the right time with even stronger foundations.

We’re expected to see a revised grants program proposal in the next 2-4 weeks before the turn of the year, so we can propose a way forward for the DAO and the grants program in 2026.
