Summary
Polkastats is requesting a $5,000 micro-grant from the SSV DAO to support the orderly sunset of SSVScan, maintain the claim page for users with outstanding rewards, and transfer the ssvscan.io domain to the SSV Foundation.
Background
SSVScan has served the SSV ecosystem since the early days of the network, providing operators, stakers, and the wider community with a third-party explorer at a time when very few tools existed. We built and maintained it together with DragonStake, and we’re proud of the role it played in supporting the network’s early growth.
With the SSV Labs Explorer now offering a comprehensive, accurate, and feature-rich experience — including revised operator performance metrics, duty breakdown visualizations, network-level statistics, and Beacon Chain–aligned validator statuses — we agree that this is the right moment to sunset SSVScan and direct users to the official Explorer.
Scope of Work
The grant covers three deliverables:
1. Sunset Execution (May 31, 2026)
- Officially phase out SSVScan on May 31, 2026
- Implement a sunset banner across the site directing users to the SSV Labs Explorer (https://explorer.ssv.network/)
- Disable non-essential pages and dashboards while keeping the claim page fully operational
2. Claim Page Maintenance
- Keep the claim page live and functional at
ssvscan.iountil the domain has been transferred - Apply minor bug fixes, dependency updates, and security patches as needed
- Provide community support for users with claim-related questions during this period
3. Domain Transfer to the SSV Foundation
- Transfer registration and ownership of
ssvscan.ioto the SSV Foundation - Coordinate with the Foundation to configure redirects from these domains to the SSV Labs Explorer once the claim period concludes
- Provide all technical documentation needed for a clean handover
