The Grants Committee has approved the suspension of the Grants Program and a transition of the Grants Committee to reduced operations:
Snapshot Vote: Grants Program Suspension & Grants Committee Scope Reduction
Effective August 15th, 2026, the following changes take effect:
- Grants Program: Suspended indefinitely as of August 15th, 2026. Existing grant commitments will continue as approved. Limited capacity for micro-grants will be retained, in accordance with the 4-year budget. No new regular grants should be granted for 2026 and following years until voted otherwise by the committee or mandated by the DAO by vote.
- Grants Committee: Remains intact as a governing body with reduced scope — participating in bug report decisions, goodwill payments, micro-grants, and other governance matters as required by policy. The SSV Foundation will assume remaining logistical responsibilities.
- Compensation: Reduced to a flat rate of $250 per month for all compensated GC members (including the lead), paid in SSV under existing terms, reflecting the reduced operational scope.
- Bug Bounty Program: Unaffected by this proposal. The bug bounty budget is separate, fully funded, and held in the Immunefi vault.
We thank all grantees, applicants, and community members who contributed to the program’s success. The DAO will revisit this decision when conditions allow.
