So, do you think that buying it on CEX is a better idea vs. using the DAO grant given the current price level? @SpookyG @fod

I am not opposed to buying the SSV from the market instead of using the grant if the community wants itā€¦ The DAO partnership can more than cover the cost but how would you go about doing it on a technical level? Only place that can complete a buy like that is Binance. We will need to delegate someone with a KYCā€™ed Binance account to custody ETH/USDC and then trade it on Binance and then send the SSV back to the DAO Address before funding the pool? Would preferably be someone from the multisig committee but we will have to ask if someone has a Binance account and could do itā€¦ Have you seen this type of thing done before? @BenAffleck

@alonmuroch I have added a new Execution section to the proposal. It is a step by step guide on how to execute the proposal for the Multisig Committee.

Let me know if this is sufficient and if anything is unclear.

I think this is already overdue, so Iā€™d rather just get this done as soon as possible using the SSV from the treasury. Like SpookyG said, there are a lot of logistical issues with buying SSV using a CEX, including waiting a long time to get verified (which carries its own issues). This also just sounds very unusualā€¦ is buying from a CEX even something a DAO can realistically do? So yeahā€¦ I think we should just move forward as is. And Iā€™m even in favor of sending it to vote now.

I agree on that issue. I am in favor of using SSV in treasury to provide liquidity to UNISWAP. Letā€™s start voting for Snapshot as soon as possible.

Alright, lets keep the proposal as it is. If the community wants it we could always do a separate buyback program, perhaps using this very liquidity pool? A Uniswap swap is definitely something the DAO could do in the futureā€¦
