Hello SSV Community! On the 12th of October, the ssv.network Core Team was excited to announce its [Community Empowerment Program](https://forum.ssv.network/t/core-team-voting-policy/1202). This program is part of a broader push to support SSV DAO members’ governance efforts. It builds on work done by the SSV DAO to delegate more voting power to active community members through the [Karma vote delegation](https://ssv.network/blog/community/introducing-vote-delegation-to-ssv-dao-governance/). The overarching aim is to establish DVT as a community-owned public good through sound stewardship by community delegates. To this end, the ownership of SSV smart contracts has been [transferred to the DAO multi-sig](https://ssv.network/blog/community/from-vision-to-reality-ssv-daos-historic-step-toward-making-dvt-a-community-owned-public-good/), and the [initialization of the SSV Foundation](https://ssv.network/blog/community/governance-2-0-establishing-the-ssv-foundation-community-empowerment/) has been proposed. Each of these steps is essential to reach this shared North Star. Today, the Core Team is delighted to announce the community members who have shaped the ssv.network community and DAO. In doing so, they have reached the top of the [Karma leaderboard](https://delegate.ssv.network/). Today, these community members will become Empowered Community Members, amplifying their voice and decision-making authority. | Karma Ranking | Name | Address | Delegated Amount | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | [BenAffleck](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0x2de670a1d8c1de83d8727295284704bb196ba117#statement) | 0x2de670a1d8c1de83d8727295284704bb196ba117 | 5.000 SSV | | 2 | [fod](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0x9933fcd422180fe81c83aed0de219c6fc4a08c15#statement) | 0x9933fcd422180fe81c83aed0de219c6fc4a08c15 | 5.000 SSV | | 3 | [Sp00kyG.eth](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/sp00kyg.eth#statement) | 0x0b399d2667733659f4a5fdcb030f3e26d26cc0fe | 5.000 SSV | | 4 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0x404f9fa7e8c6b911f6dc3bb32f103a77deb8dda7#statement) | 0x404f9fa7e8c6b911f6dc3bb32f103a77deb8dda7 | 30.000 SSV | | 5 | [Taiga](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0x44e50757ad63558cf5281bb4da7997bcf5118e33#statement) | 0x44e50757ad63558cf5281bb4da7997bcf5118e33 | 0 SSV | | 6 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xe3023dae714d827f2452442fccfdc2bcd684de13#statement) | 0xe3023dae714d827f2452442fccfdc2bcd684de13 | 30.000 SSV | | 7 | [cvjoin.eth](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/cvjoint.eth#statement) | 0xf389dd1f828525b449d63d14157f2d3a25ee0a41 | 30.000 SSV | | 8 | [Stakewith.us](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0x9fb67dea6c6f9f0e35c3ebe61afda0cfd9a332c3#statement) | 0x9fb67dea6c6f9f0e35c3ebe61afda0cfd9a332c3 | 30.000 SSV | | 9 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xd4b06a0bec0bd015027e2ca7d30367fab60a1a8e#statement) | 0xd4b06a0bec0bd015027e2ca7d30367fab60a1a8e | 30.000 SSV | | 10 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xe6b6e280a41ddbdb19543e29cad4088a11ddf6b8#statement) | 0xe6b6e280a41ddbdb19543e29cad4088a11ddf6b8 | 30.000 SSV | | 11 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xa4ab16a28a8567bb7e51d536f151f8bac1d3b464#statement) | 0xa4ab16a28a8567bb7e51d536f151f8bac1d3b464 | 25.000 SSV | | 12 | [/](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xe4a1319048c3a3873da557a289817276aac96296#statement) | 0xe4a1319048c3a3873da557a289817276aac96296 | 25.000 SSV | | 13 | [0neinfra.eth](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0neinfra.eth#statement) | 0x1b1627b632f774b4b95cfe28ec03d8f9c5847f0b | 25.000 SSV | | 14 | [Yorick](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/0xefe28ba8c9bb3438f92f75be0acd078182c61231#statement) | 0xefe28ba8c9bb3438f92f75be0acd078182c61231 | 5.000 SSV | | 15 | [hackworth.eth](https://delegate.ssv.network/profile/hackworth.eth#statement) | 0xc799be8de03f20b2d3b101e6f6516d614e6ffe06 | 25.000 SSV | Those that are marked with “/” have no name on Karma. SSV Labs is happy to announce a small change to the Community Empowerment Program, which was enacted on October 2nd, 2023. From the current batch of Empowered Community Members and Empowered Prominent community members, i.e., from May 30th, 2024, SSV Labs will streamline future batches of the Community Empowerment program so that they take place in 6-month intervals, as opposed to the previous 3-month period. We believe this will align with the trends in the community’s pace of achieving higher ranks through the ssv.network Karma delegation board. **Also** , this will give the highest-ranked community members twice as long to pursue the strategic initiatives they choose to implement. ---

Thank you @RobertD .Personally, I think the core team voting policy could be leveraged for even more community engagement. While I understand the operational overhead, I would have kept the interval and even increased the number of delegates, e.g., from the new SSV Diver ambassador program. In any case, do you mind updating the original post? > [@Core Team Voting Policy and Community Empowerment Program](https://forum.ssv.network/t/core-team-voting-policy-and-community-empowerment-program/1202): > > Hello SSV Community! The following is an updated voting policy for the Core team. This policy aims to place more decision-making power into the hands of the protocol’s stewards, its community, and DAO. Core Team Voting Policy The Core Team has always strived to do what is best for the community, the DAO, and the ssv.network. With this in mind, during the CDT to SSV token upgrade, the Core Team outlined its voting policy in its [blog post](https://blog.ssv.network/cdt-ssv-upgrade-81a860c3d2b7) with the aim of promoting transparency, decentralization,… Thank you very much! Proud to be part of the governance behind a low-level Ethereum protocol. While going through the **[initial Community Empowerment Program proposal](https://forum.ssv.network/t/ssv-labs-core-team-voting-policy-and-community-empowerment-program/1202)** (first shared back in Oct 2023, now updated in Aug 2025), I could not help but think of the Temp Check I wrote here **[“Should the SSV DAO Explore Public Goods Funding via Shared MEV from Based Rollups?”](https://forum.ssv.network/t/temp-check-should-the-ssv-dao-explore-public-goods-funding-via-shared-mev-from-based-rollups/1971)** The way the SSV Core Team caps its voting power and hands over real influence to active community members based on transparent metrics really shows that SSV Network is walking the talk when it comes to decentralization. Combine that with its open-source code, permissionless setup and support for all Ethereum clients and yeah, SSV definitely sits alongside Geth, Lighthouse and MEV-Boost as a true public good in Ethereum.
